Hello and welcome to my site! My name is James Boggs and I
am an average guy who has been interested in electric cars
for years. I followed much of the news and controversy
around the EV-1 and I periodically did web searches for
news about developments in the electric car market and I
even looked into general conversion packages to turn ICE
cars into electric, but was just never sure enough about
where the technology was heading to be comfortable enough
to spend the kind of initial investment needed to go
electric. Now into my early 40's, and a life long geek, I
have been following technology in general, and have really
been enjoying the medium of podcasting. Some of my favorite
podcast personalities and shows include
Leo Laporte,
Diggnation,
The Totally Rad Show,
Autoblog Green,
MacCast,
Basic Brewing Radio, and
I Make Things. Some are video and
some are audio, and as a group, they lit a flame
between my few remaining brain cells. Start a podcast
about what I want to know about.
Now this is my attempt to build a community of people
interested in electric vehicles. I hope this will develop
into a place where people can get relevant information
about what is out in the market now and in the very near
future. (less than one year) I will present information
about products and services provided to the electric
vehicle enthusiast, as well as interviews with some of the
movers in the industry and the people in their own homes
making it happen now. And without your participation this
will never happen. Please let me know what you want to hear
about, and what you already know or have experienced, that
you think should be shared with the rest of the Electron
Pirates around the world.
